Poem: Early Spring
By Jennifer Spice
Wild cherry-plum petals of creamiest white tissue, tangerine tinged centres, gold stamens spring to greet you; tiny little wands, pollen stars a twinkle quiver in the breeze attract pollinating beetle; skylarks in the sky, song so sweetly sung, silhouetted buzzards in the air, like kites, they hung; willows' withies green, bluebells in the bud, lake reflects back blue, tang, in breeze, of mud.
