The Society of Staffordshire Artists are hosting an exciting exhibition of paintings and sculptures in Leek.
The Christmas Exhibition is being brought to the well-respected Foxlowe Arts Centre from 18th November 2023 until 6th January 2024.
Twenty artists, who are full members of the well-established and prestigious society, have selected up to three recent pieces of artwork to fill the gallery space.
The Society of Staffordshire Artists (SSA) is celebrating 100 years of exhibitions, since it was established in 1933. Its artists are some of the best known and well-respected names in the Staffordshire art world.
During the exhibition and on selected days, there will be opportunities to chat with the artists.
All works in the exhibition are priced for sale. Additional work by the artists can be found on the SSA website.
John Thirlwall, President of the SSA, said: “This exhibition will present a variety of artistic styles, some which can be appreciated for their immediate aesthetic value and others which challenge visitors to find messages within.”
Malcolm Hague, Vice-President, said: “We encourage our artists to develop and promote their work in a variety of creative ways, including exhibitions in the best regional places and by digital means. Society membership can be a great way to develop your practice. Get in touch with us if you’d like to join our group as a member or friend.”
