North Staffs News & events in brief
Keele Uni scoops Green Energy Award
Keele University has won a prestigious Green Energy Award for its groundbreaking Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (the largest project of its type in Europe, no less) and Low Carbon Energy Generation Park.
The Green Energy Awards celebrate the fantastic work of UK organisations that are championing smart, sustainable, low carbon energy systems.
Keele took home the top prize in the Clean Energy Scheme Award category, which commends projects that are “spearheading the clean energy industry and delivering significant carbon savings”.
Congrats Keele! We love to see those wind turbines whizzing round up on the hill.
Story Quest starts on Wednesday
To celebrate the release of The Clinkers, Stoke Reads is hosting a Story Quest event on Wednesday 5 April, 11:00-14:00, at the Dudson Museum in Hanley.
Written and illustrated by local creative Kidda Kinsey, this free and interactive story trail invites families with primary school aged children to explore the museum, complete various pottery themed challenges, and discover fun facts about Stoke’s rich ceramic heritage.
It’s a collaboration between Stoke Reads, National Literacy Trust, and VAST’s Dudson Museum.
Kids will love it.
