New Biz Profile: Lee (and Enzo) at Springfield Tyres
Lee, at recently established Springfield Tyres, got in touch via Instagram and asked if NSN ‘does promotions?’ Of course we do! We love to hear from new businesses, and are happy to give a new business a free shoutout.
We asked Lee some deep and probing questions.
Who are you?
Lee Wrigglesworth, 26, born in Crewe, but I’ve lived here in Newcastle for 5 years now.
What's your background in tyres, why have you started Springfield Tyres?
I studied and got NVQs level 1 & 2 in vehicle maintenance. Having checked the market there’s a lot of mechanics that don’t offer a tyre service in the local area, so I wanted to fix that.
What gave you the confidence to start up in business right now?
Actually, I saw the ideal place to trade from, so didn’t want to let up on the opportunity.
What will success look like to you?
I aim to be the cheapest and fastest service in Stoke-on-Trent. With a large volume of stock on site, 90% of the time I get tyres fitted there and then. There’s also a few other features I’d like to implement in the future: air con re-gas, a number plate service, and stocking a larger variety of alloy wheels.
What’s your go-to music to have belting out in the workshop?
I have a very broad taste, there s not much that doesn’t put a spring in my step whilst at work.
Is there a biz you’d like to give a shoutout to, someone that’s helped you along the way?
Yes, MSC Motors, our neighbours. I couldn’t ask for better neighbours. They’re a really friendly and helpful bunch, and have become good customers of my services too.
What do you do out of work?
I enjoy going to the gym, and spending time with the family when I can.
And, we guess taking Enzo, the Italian mastiff, for a walk too…
