Stoke Reads invites you on a Story Quest
This Easter, Stoke Reads, the literacy hub from the National Literacy Trust, and the Dudson Museum are launching a new Story Quest trail around the Hanley based museum titled The Clinkers.
Written and illustrated by local creative Kidda Kinsey, this free and interactive story trail invites families with primary school aged children to explore the museum, complete various pottery themed challenges, and discover fun facts about Stoke’s rich ceramic heritage.
To celebrate the release of The Clinkers, Stoke Reads is hosting a launch event on Wednesday 5 April, 11:00-14:00, at the Dudson Museum in Hanley.
Opening a bar, cafe, or takeaway?
You’re opening a new bar or eatery in North Staffs? Fab! You’ll need lots of catering equipment, and that can be expensive! So why not grab some second-hand bargains?
Kirklands Staffordshire are holding a second-hand catering equipment event at their place on Friday 31st March, 9.30am to 5pm. Open to start-up businesses and the more established, it could be a great opportunity to better equip your kitchen.
They tell us: “On the day, we'll have a huge range of second-hand and fully refurbished catering equipment available; these range from refrigeration to dishwashers, milkshake makers to ice machines, cookers, grills and everything in between!”
Find Kirklands on Lytton Street, Stoke, ST4 2DH.
